Dr. Pratt graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1983, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. 

She served in the US Air Force for 5 years, training and serving as a general pediatrician in northern California and Idaho.  Dr. Pratt pursued her dream of becoming a Developmental Pediatrician during her 3-year fellowship at the University of Virginia.  From 1992-1995, she had the privilege of training with many leaders in the field of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.  She also fell in love with the state of Virginia, where she has practiced for most of her career.

From 2001 to 2013, Dr. Pratt was employed at Children’s National Medical Center, serving as director of Pediatric residency training in child development and building a reputation of excellence in teaching and patient care.  Dr. Pratt has expertise in all aspects of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, learning differences and disabilities, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and genetic disorders.

In January 2014, Dr. Pratt established her private practice in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics in Gainesville, Virginia.  Dr. Pratt’s appointments consist of extended visits (either in office or via telemedicine) of 1 to 2 hours, allowing time for in depth evaluation, discussion, and problem-solving of her patients.  Dr. Pratt looks forward to spending time with you and your child!
